There's nothing really wrong with America...

-- American Idol
This whole reality singing "talent" show originated from the UK reality program Pop Idol, so I wouldn't blame America for this one. It's a really horrible show, and it's spun off other crappy reality dancing, skating, singing, dating, living shows. On the positive there have been some hotties like Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler, Katharine McPhee, and Antonella Barba. On the negative side... Ryan Seacrest is a raging homo.

-- School Shootings
No I don't think that school shootings are completely American. You might think that they are American because everyone hears all the news from America. Here are 10 other school shootings from just the past decade. I know that there have been at least a dozen school shootings here in the states in that time, but it's not as frequent in other countries as you might think. Remember... guns don't kill people, crazy wacko people kill people.

Detailed below are some of the worst incidents of the past decade.

  • Scotland, March 1996: Gun enthusiast Thomas Hamilton shoots 16 children and their teacher dead at their primary school in Dunblane, Scotland before killing himself.
  • Yemen, March 1997: A man with an assault rifle attacked hundreds of pupils at two schools in Sanaa, Yemen, killing six children and two others. He was sentenced to death the next day.
  • Taber, April 1999: Opening fire on three students, hitting two, and killing one at W.R. Myers High School in Taber, Alberta, Canada.
  • Germany, November 1999: A 15-year-old student in Meissen, eastern Germany, stabbed his teacher to death after taking bets from classmates he would dare commit the crime.
  • Germany, March 2000: A 16-year-old pupil at a private boarding school in the Bavarian town of Branneburg, shot a 57-year-old teacher, who later died from injuries. The teenager - who also shot himself - was facing expulsion from school after failing a cannabis test.
  • Germany, February 2002: A former pupil killed his headmaster and set off pipe bombs in the technical school he had recently been expelled from in Freising near Munich. The man also shot dead his boss and a foreman at the company he worked for before turning the gun on himself. Another teacher was shot in the face, but survived.
  • Germany, April 2002: Seventeen people killed after a gunman - a former pupil - opens fire in a school in Erfurt, eastern Germany. He then turned the gun on himself.
  • Melbourne, October 2002: A student shot his classmates and teacher, killing two and injuring five. It took place at Monash University in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
  • Montreal, September 2006: One victim died at the scene, while another 19 were injured before the gunman committed suicide at Dawson College, Westmount near downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
  • Lebanon, January 2007: The Beirut Arab University shooting where four people were shot dead in clashes between pro- and anti-government activists at a Beirut university.
-- Paranoia
Hey... everyone's got phobias, and are scared of thing. There's nothing wrong with that. Especially because I love to have crazy conspiracy theories. Some of my favorite are the 9/11 conspiracy, JFK assassination, and the Apollo moon landing hoax. Hey people might think that I'm a little delusional, but hey... I like my conspiracy theories, and if that makes me paranoid than so be it.

-- Media driven public outrage
Yeah the Don Imus thing was kinda wack. His show sucks, and all the newer hip young DJ's were coming in and taking his audience. I know that he has gone over the top a time or two before this incident, so this is just the straw that broke the camels back. I would also like to put it in the same category as the Janet Jackson nipple showing during the Super Bowl a few years ago. Get over it... stop worrying about a little nipple or a few curse words, and sit down and have a talk with your kid. See how they are doing. Are they going to school, selling drugs, or school outcasts? I think that the media's gotta start reporting some real news and not just crap like Anna Nicole.

-- Speeding tickets
Sorry Grey... you are on your own on this one. I found out at an early age that you can't drive fast all the time. I had 3 speeding tickets before you even had your drivers license. Since then... none. Trust me... I like driving fast, and speeding more than the next guy, but sometimes you gotta play by The Man's (The Canadian's) Rules n' go under 85 on the freeway sometimes. Save your illegal activities for places where cops are not driving behind you, or in front of you with radar guns.

-- Civil Liberties
Hmmm... I love having Civil Liberties, but I guess that I've just grown up with them, so it's not like you really miss them until you have them taken away. Try and take my Civil Liberties away and we're gonna have a problem. Civil Liberties are great... Government in most cases is great... Red Tape and loads of Bureaucracy sucks.

-- RIAA
The Recording Industry Association of America does suck. Well... I won't say that the RIAA sucks, but I really hate Metallica. They killed my Napster... my lovely lovely Napster. I remember being at work all day downloading movies and music all day. I would literally sit there and go... "uhh... what can I download now?" I literally had everything I could think of, or find. It was a great time in my music collections career. Then Metallica got a hair up there ass n' wanted to sue everyone so the RIAA started going after people. To this day I still don't listen to Metallica even when they are on the radio... I'll change the channel if they're on. Long live guys like Kid Rock n' others who don't care. If you make a good CD people will buy it, or at least come out to see you live when you are touring. Stop being lazy dudes n' let me download free music again.

-- No Siesta
There is nothing that I could ever say bad about siestas. I spent about 3 weeks in Spain, and it was great. Most places closed for a couple of hours for everyone to take a long lunch. I on the other hand would already be buzzed from the beer n' sangria, so I'd take one of my 2 naps during the day. Aahhhh... taking a nap on the beach in Barcelona was the bomb. Having siestas is the only way that a country like Spain could function. I've never been to a place where people eat, drink, smoke, and party as much as the Spanish. It's a great country and I'd really like to go back. Oh yeah I gotta get to work before 7:00 am, and I don't drink coffee or soda, so I'm getting tired around break time at 10. If I could get an hour or an hour n' a half of sleep at 11:30 n' wake up at 1:00... I'd work until 5 or 6:00, and I know I'd be more productive too.

-- People Who Vote
Damn Grey I hate how you just ramble and ramble about voting all the time. If you don't vote then you can't bitch. I know... I know... you are gonna bitch even more because you aren't voting, but I'm not gonna listen. I vote because I want to... I don't vote because I have to.

-- People Who Dont Vote
From my experience people who don't vote bitch more than people who do. Sorry, but if you don't wanna at least make a little bit of an effort (no... not voting is not an effort) to make a change than just sit back and enjoy the ride. Plus if you don't vote then how are you gonna vote for me when I run for office again. I said again because I've already ran for City Council... n' no Grey didn't vote for even me.

Well America there you go. We've got a few differences of opinion about some things, but all in all I Love America. I've been traveling around the world for the past few years, and it's great to go and experience new places and see new things, but at the end of the trip I'm always glad to be heading back to the good ol' U S of A.

I'm from Chino and PROUD OF IT!
